What We Do

Training & Capacity Building

Strengthening the capacity to protect and manage India's environment, through knowledge-sharing and training across every sector.

Capacity is the missing link in environmental governance

In India, environmental degradation is held back less by weak laws than by weak capacity to enforce them. ELDF's programmes strengthen that capacity, equipping stakeholders across sectors with the country's environmental policy and legal framework, through a community-based, gender-sensitive and participatory approach.

The programmes share innovative thinking on environmental protection and management, empowering participants to apply legal tools within their own spheres of work.
