Charities run on interns and volunteers. They do research, administrative work and organize events. At ELDF we have wanted to provide a national focus to our work, not only through our core activities, but also by providing internship opportunities to new advocates and other activists from around India. ELDF conducts two kinds of Internship Programs, one for national students from law schools across the Country and second, the International Internship Program.
We have trained over fifty lawyers from within and outside the country so far. These internship programmes are often a mix of field and theory where law students and fresh professionals from various Law Universities undergo a rigorous training under senior staff of ELDF. The students from College of Law , London, Vermont Law School, USA, University of Delhi, Faculty of Law, NALSAR, Hyderabad and NLSIU, Bangalore, Symbiosis Law College, Pune, O.P Jindal Global University, Amity Law School, Indraprastha Law College, New Delhi, Lucknow University, Faculty of Law, Gujarat Law University, Cochin Law College among others have, so far, participated in this non-funded Programme . The Internship Programmes continue to be an important component of ELDF’s work in the future and hopefully through the Foundation.
